In 1981 Gerd Bär founded the Gerd Bär GmbH with a first special order. His quality standards - not only in materials, but also in application-oriented loading solutions - quickly earned tremendous success. In the following years Bär influenced the market like no other and set new standards for the industry.

Today, 28 years later, the company Gerd Bär GmbH is one of the leading European manufacturers of tail lifts with its Bär Cargolifts. With a total of 298 employees, sales and service networks in more than 25 countries around the world, Gerd Bär has successfully implemented his high standards of quality and functionality.

After a test period Bär now offers in spring 2009 the Marinelift in four different systems and four load moment versions. A new division within the Bär group was born: Bär Nautic Boarding.


Bär Nautic Boarding offers products that may assist in the boarding of boat. Beginning with the Marinelift; the products addresses dockyards and shipbuilders for factory-provided upgrading of their yachts as well as the yacht owners.
